Peter Danstrup (b 1954) is a bass player, composer and bandleader. Started playing in the 1970’s with John Tchicai and Strange Brothers and has been a part of the music scene in Copenhagen ever since. He is a long time member of Jan Kaspersen’s groups and Mikkel Nordsø Band and is currently leading his own bands Klökkeblömst, Reptiles and Sacrified. In 2012 he recieved two Danish Music Awards for his records and compositions.
In the years 1997-2005 he was director at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen – at a time where several of the ILK-members joined the school.
