In 2026, ILK Music joins forces with KU.BE to present a new concert series at the heart of Frederiksberg, bringing improvised and contemporary music into focus across ten unique events.
Each concert is curated by an ILK musician, who invites leading Danish and international artists to share the stage. Drawing on ILK’s extensive network within experimental and contemporary music, the series unfolds as a dynamic platform for new works, thematic programs, cross-genre collaborations, and exploratory performances rooted in improvisation and modern jazz.
The concerts take place monthly throughout the year – excluding July and December – creating a continuous thread of artistic exchange and live experimentation. From intimate listening experiences to expansive, cross-aesthetic productions, each evening offers a distinct perspective shaped by the invited artists.
The series is set within KU.BE’s distinctive architectural spaces, which encourage creative approaches to sound, staging, and visual expression. As a vibrant and multifaceted cultural center, KU.BE provides a unique environment where art, movement, and community intersect—inviting audiences to experience music in new and unexpected ways. The concerts are supported by Frederiksberg Municipality and the Danish Arts Foundation.
