On DET OSAGDA MUMLAR I BÄCKEN, generations and artistic approaches meet: the raw freedom and lyrical depth of Danish alto saxophonist Jesper Zeuthen, the exploratory and resonant guitar playing of Swedish musician Martin Nilsson, and the two highly personal drummers Thomas Præstegaard and Michala Østergaard-Nielsen, whose multifaceted use of drums, percussion, vibraphone and vibraphonette helps shape a dynamic, vivid and colorful sonic universe.
 
Here, four musicians meet in a shared space where experience, curiosity, deep listening and artistic courage merge. The result is music that feels both spontaneous and precise, raw and poetic, grounded and open to the unknown - free improvisation with a strong identity, collective intensity and a deep human presence.

Aldrig i Livet came together during 2024 following a recording session with other Danish musicians and the American drummer Ra Kalam Bob Moses in the summer of 2023. In the winter of 2024, and again in the spring and winter of 2025, the quartet entered the studio in Copenhagen and Malmö.
